AtlantiCare focuses in on eliminating transportation barriers with Roundtrip

AtlantiCare partnered with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and the Atlantic City Community Fund to launch a program to provide rides to patients in need. The AtlantiCare team uses Roundtrip to coordinate transportation to and from any AtlantiCare facility in Atlantic City or specialists located within 25 miles of the city.

AtlantiCare clinical teams can coordinate pre-scheduled and on-demand rides, including rideshare and medical sedans. The data collected through the first year of the partnership demonstrated a significant positive impact on ER utilization, follow-up appointment adherence, and member/patient satisfaction.
